The study, which surveyed 400 citizens across seven regions of Ghana, concludes that when political leaders model cordiality across party lines, their followers see no reason for conflict, a lesson the researchers say can be replicated across Africa. The Peace Initiative Committee of Ogun Central has confirmed the death of one of its members following a tragic incident in Ake, Abeokuta. In an official statement, the Committee disclosed that Eluwa Joseph, a dedicated member known for his contributions to community peace efforts, lost his life as a result of the incident. Another member, Bayo Abayomi, sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment under close supervision. According to preliminary information available to the Committee, including accounts from the injured party, the incident reportedly followed an altercation allegedly involving Ese Musiliu.
